Thomas J. Ward is a partner with Michelizzi, Schwabacher, Ward & Collins. His practice involves the representation of individuals and business entities in litigation as well as counseling clients in real estate, commercial, contract, business and development disputes.
Mr. Ward received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Francisco in 1964 and his law degree from U.C.L.A. in 1967. He is a member of the California State Bar. The Antelope Valley Bar Association ( president 1974) and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Ward has a long history of community ties with his membership on the Father Serra Parrish financial council, the Paraclete High School Development Committee, the Antelope Valley Hospital Gift Foundation as well as the Lancaster Old Town Site and the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce.
Some of Mr. Ward's most recent cases have involved:
- The representation of an accounting firm that successfully defended a complaint by a competitor while prevailing on the cross-complaint filed on behalf of his client.
- The representation of a homeowner whose home loan had been wrongfully foreclosed. Mr. Ward succeeded in having the foreclosure stopped, the sale of the homeowner's property was set aside and the original loan reinstated.
- The representation of the seller of a local newspaper to a national chain of newspapers.
- The representation of the owners of a local quarry in the sale of the business and property to a national rock, sand and gravel company.
